Summer Rug Hooking
For all you knitters I hope to post my summer knitting projects later in the week. I did not get as much done as I hoped. I did finish a few sweaters,a cowl, and a scarf. Some need a finishing wash or need to be sewn together. Back in June my sister, daughter, and I took a rug hooking class at Camp Wool in a shop in downtown Kennebunk, Maine. The owner Lee Ann taught the class and we had a great time . It was such a fun day. I have been working on my rug all summer and now doing the background. I hope to turn it into a pillow. I found out my area of Maine (midcoast) is where rug hooking started in America. It is now the epicenter for rug hooking.
I spent part of today doing homework for my art class. My husband made dinner so it has been a nice Labor Day for me.
Below pictures of my rug.
