Spring

I don't think I am going to reach my goal for April.  For the New Year I said I wanted to read 8 books a month and finish 2 knitting projects a month.But its not happening.  About 1 week ago I came down with a cold that really knocked me out.  I had fever,terrible sore throat,,headache and cough.  I spent a good part of last week staring into space.  When I told my sister I had been reading the same book for over a week she said you really must be sick I am much better now so maybe I can catch up.

First books:  I continue with the Ann Cleeve mysteries set on the Shetland Islands in the U.K. They are like comfort reading which is what I need now.  I am on the third one now called"Blue Lightening" and it is very good.  The detective has gone home to Fair Isle.  This is the most remote island int the u.k. and seems as good as the other 2.

I finished the "Mia "cardigan at the beginning of April.  I washed and blocked it.  It was done In the Sabine colorway Chickadee yarn by Quince&Co. It is their DK.yarn.  I really like how it turned out.  In fact I think I like knitting from the bottom up better than from the top down.

MIA CARDIGAN

I started 2 other projects.  First is the Cameo scarf.  I am using Swan Island fingering weight yarn in the early thyme color and the natural merino organic which is a light grey color.  I love this yarn.  I cannot wait to stop by Swan's Island this summer and look at some of their new colors,yarns, and patterns. By the way I will be leaving for Maine in a few weeks and I can't wait.

CAMEO SCARF

Next project started is "The Miley Tee"  I have made one of these before and I really liked it.  This yarn is several years old and I really don't know why I started this I must have been in a fever induced delirium.  But I will finish it-it will be a nice summer sweater.  I just have so many things I wanted to make before this. the yarn I am using is a mixture of cotton and wool by Lamb's Pride.
