Let's Start With Books
Hi Everyone,
Summer is almost over. I had a good summer. Spent a lot time with my family in New England which was a lot fun. Spent time with my children, got to see my sisters, and saw my parents. The weather was good and that makes a big difference. Got beach time and great sea food.Hopefully I will get back up there this fall. I am going to try to do several blog posts this weekend and I am going to start with books. I read more than 20 books but I am only going to mention some of them.
Good Reads
1.You Should Have Known by Jean Hamif Korelitz Middle age married couple. Wife is a therapist in NYC and discovers her husband has cheated on her. She has written a best selling book called You Should have Known about cheating husbands and she has been caught totally unaware.Good read but ends a little to happy and predictable
2. The Storied Life of A.K. Fikry by Gabriella Zevon I loved this book.About a bookstore owner living on a island off the coast of Massachusetts. Just a plain nice story.
3. Astonish Me Maggie Shipstead World of ballet good story like all her books
4.Life Drawing Robin Black /writer and artist couple live a quiet life in rural pa. Neighbor moves in and disrupts their world
5. Euphoria Lily King Based on life of Margaret Mead in the 1930's and a love triangle.I like all of Lily King's books. She lives in Maine.
Better than I thought
1. Still Life with Bread Crumbs Anna Quinlin
Don't Bother
1. Out of the Woods Lynn Darling a memoir a crybaby
2. Bittersweet Miranda Beverly-Whitmore ridiculous poor girl from boarding school makes friends with a rich girl from Vermont whose family has many secrets

Next post should be about knitting and my rug hooking this summer
