Spring

I finished the  cowl seen in the last post called "thirty-eight" because it has 38 rows .  It is made out of the first yarn sent by Clara Parkes of "The Great White Bale" that I have spoken of before.

Great White Bale Cowl

Working on the "Juliette Scarf" made out of Swans Island lace .It is easy but you know how slow(at Least for me)lace knitting is.  Doing this on #6 needles so it Will be airy and light weight

Started the Mia sweater designed by Carrie Bostick Hoge a Maine designer that I love.  This is using Quince&Co. yarn in Chickadee in the Sabine colorway on #5 needles.  It is a bottom up sweater.  I love knitting top down sweaters but sometimes I have a lot of fabric around the armholes and I wanted to see if bottom up works better. Finished up to the yoke and one arm hole.

Books
1.Burial Rites by Hannah Kent loved this book It takes place in Iceland in the 1840's.  It is based on a true story that the author heard when she was a exchange student there.  A woman is condemned to death for murder and slowly over the book you learn her story.
2.That Part Was True by Deborah McKinlay okay
3 The Scent of Pine by Lara Vapnyar reading this now. Like the setting of this- Boston and Maine but not sure about the story

Spring is here.  We had a very mild winter.
Peace
